Altair VR is a face off between virtual reality and blockchain solutions. Where as virtual reality enables us to better understand and interact with whatever it is we seek to experience, blockchain removes barriers that impede this goal.
Altair VR's whitepaper asserts that,
Many countries have implemented internet censorship and block websites that disseminate objectionable points of view. Censorship might include persecution of authors, site owners, and hosting sites, where problematic materials and resources are located. There is a solution: blockchain technology. Blockchain technology stores data in a decentralized manner. Using blockchain, we do not use a single server that falls under the jurisdiction of a particular country.
Thus the user seeking to learn about World War II will be able to hear and experience the history as told from various perspectives. Afterall, history is subjective and is often told as seen in the eyes of the beholder. Subsequently, it will lie in the hands of the user who has been able to experience WWII from all sides to form their own perceptions about the war. This will proof useful in broadening the scope of the user.
Imagine being able to recreate the Yaa Asantewaa War and tell it from both sides. In that war, both sides declared themselves victors. Wouldn't it be nice to experience this war from those two perspectives and decide for yourself which side truly won? (That is if only you must)

Some of them are a visual, 360 degree video, or a simulation, allowing deeper understanding of the subject and, if desired, to dig deeper, moving into more detailed VR experiences. Alternatively, if the experience you want is not there, you can ask the community to create it.
If the Altair VR community will become anything like steemit's community, then everybody should consider investing in thier own gear VR ASAP. Although Altair VR seeks to incorporate community activity it deviates from steemit's modus operandi as it screens content even before it is shared. Moderators on the Altair platform will screen content to ensure that they are 'share-worthy'.
Moderators are like curators on steemit, but unlike curators here on steemit, moderators on Altair VR curate top-notch content before they hit the platform. By so doing, Altair VR ensures that only great content is consistently placed on their platform.
VR experiences on the platform will be distributed to users on both a free and paid basis. The cost of access will be set by the creators of the content and payment will be made in tokens. The platform charges commissions from purchases of experiences at a 10% rate. The remaining funds will be distributed among the creators of the content.
The idea is still in its formative stages. If you have any comments, suggestions, or advice, read their whitepaper first and then you can channel it through telegram and it would surely get to them. Altair VR is also on Facebook, Bitcointalk and YouTube.
Note that there are risks, after all, this is ICOs we are talking about. However, Altair VR has already made a name for itself in the Virtual Reality industry especially in Russia and they also have over 200,000 English-speaking users on Amazing Cinema app. Altair Vr makes the claim that,
